There are many Town changing events that will occur in the next few years. Budget increases, re-zoning of the land your home is built on, public safety, and drinking water, just to name a few. Decisions will be made with or without you. Our guess is you will want to become part of the decisions. And we want to make it easier for you to do so.

Building a web site is hard...
It requires technical know-how, graphics capabilities, oh… and content. Stuff that will inform and inspire you to be involved, take actions, and spread the word. Our decision to make this site public before it is ready for prime time, is based on us being your neighbors, and that you will understand and forgive. Some links do not work, some space is open, and some typos are expected. We look forward to achieving perfection, with you in mind.

Many Towns have an ability to re-call an elected official. We do not. A by-law is a check and balance. Why is this important, and why do we need it?

There is a push by the Town to re-imagine a large part of Town. It will have an effect on your current home. What are your options?

It can be as terrifying. It is when the State mandates a housing density that can double the density of a small part of Town. It can be avoided.

We have heard from many Boards that Town taxes will significantly increase next year. Why, and what you can do?

For one reason or another, we all either moved to Manchester in our time, or grew up here and chose to stay. Whatever that reason, it rested on Manchester having a small, local feel, driven by effective Public Safety, a quality school system, and the ability to impact how your Town is run. That can change in an instant, and Manchester can look very different 5 years from now than what you recognize today. If that concerns you, use your power. Become part of the Town – attend meetings – have discussions with your neighbors, and most importantly attend Town Meetings. If this appears time consuming, the time you take now will be far less than what will be required to effect change after the fact.
